This year Scott and I laid down tracks for our new album Aether, a concept album based on Harry Houdini's life and his struggles with spiritualism. Scott flew out from Tennessee and tracked drums and bass to my guide tracks. We are now in the mix stage and are hoping to be done by Feb 2013.

Roger Waters

In 1979 my father took me to see my first rock concert ever. I was 11 years old and never saw a live rock act. Pink Floyd was touring The Wall, the largest most elaborate concert ever up to that time. So large and expensive it was only done in LA and NYC in the US. It featured a 50 foot tall wall that was built between the audience and the band, with 3 large film projectors projecting animation made for the show and huge marionettes. They performed the concept album like a 2 act musical with an intermission. Changed my life. Since then I thought all albums and concerts should be like that.

2012, 34 years later, Roger Waters brought The Wall to AT&T park in San Francisco. He had reworked the show to be bigger and better than ever. Dad flew out from the east coast and we relived the experience.

In our seats

Was going to go through the trouble of uploading the little video I shot, but somebody
else did a great job of editing together others peoples videos of
the very show we saw, from many angles, the ENTIRE show.
So here is that:

At XMAS the family went to the Kennedy center and saw the show Million Doller Quartet.
Interesting tribute concert with dialog and acting to help get the facts accross.

In 2011 one of the highlights was getting tickets to see the Philip Glass Ensemble. WELL this year
I got a call from Montalvo to come mix sound for a show. Robert, the Production
Manager, said" it'll be easy, just a solo piano player with some playback." Only
after I got there did I find out it was Philip Glass himself.

Once again I had the very cool (slightly esoteric) job of finding, formatting and
printing lyrics for Richard Thompson while he was performing live on stage.
